FAQ

SESSIONS:

I work with my clients weekly in recurring, 50 minute time slots. In some cases, we may meet more frequently, but initially all clients are committing to weekly sessions.

90 minute sessions are often appropriate for an initial couples intake session to assist me in getting a comprehensive lay of the land.

I work exclusively via telehealth - meaning video or phone sessions. This style of work may not be appropriate for all clients.

INSURANCE:

I do not accept insurance, however many insurance providers / PPO plans will reimburse for out-of-network therapy costs or count the out-of-pocket fees toward your deductible so it is worth exploring the specifics of your plan. The monthly paperwork I provide for this is called a “superbill” which will include any applicable diagnostic codes. (Note: most insurance companies require the disclosure of applicable diagnosis codes and may not reimburse for every diagnosis.) I am unable to answer further questions on the subject as you’ll need to speak directly with your insurance carrier to learn more about their policies and your benefits.

Here are the primary questions you’ll want to ask them to explore further:

  • Do you reimburse for out-of-network mental health services?

  • Do you cover individual sessions? Couples sessions? Telehealth/video/phone sessions?

  • Do I have a deductible? What is it?

  • What amount or percentage will be reimbursed per session?

  • Is there a cap or maximum on how much can be reimbursed?

  • How would I go about submitting my claim forms for reimbursement?

CANCELLATIONS:

Cancellation outside of 24 hours will not incur a fee.

Cancellation within 24 hours is billed full session fee.
